Business questions
Do I own a corporation — do I need a T2 and NTR every year?
Yes. A corporation files a T2 annually, and lenders, insurers and owners usually need notice-to-reader financial statements. Our T2 + NTR starts at $1,500 for an active small corporation.
Can you take over from my current bookkeeper mid-year?
Yes, usually. We review the last year-end, agree a catch-up scope if needed (cleanup is quoted at $95/hour), and set the start date in writing.
I do not use accounting software at all. Is that a problem?
No. We set up a simple workflow and can train you on receipts, statements and what to send each month. The Kickstart tier exists for exactly this.
Are there setup fees or per-file fees?
No admin fee, no setup fee, no card surcharge. If a catch-up is required, it is quoted separately in writing before we start.
What deadlines should I know?
T2 is due six months after your year-end; GST/HST depends on your filing period; payroll remittances are monthly or quarterly. We send reminders before each one and include deadline tracking in every monthly retainer.
Do you serve businesses outside Edmonton?
Yes — most work is remote. We serve all of Alberta and Ontario, and clients elsewhere in Canada by arrangement.
